David Smith, C.F.I., PrincipalFire Analyst/PrincipalMr. Smith has been conducting Fire Analysis for the past 38 years throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. His background includes Professional Firefighter, Police Officer, Paramedic and Criminal Investigator. He began his career in the Metro Atlanta area and has been involved with Fire Analysis throughout his career in both criminal and civil matters. His degree is in Fire Science and he has been both a student and instructor for the National Fire Academy. He has achieved numerous awards for his career achievements as well as his citizenship efforts, including Honorary Ambassador and Outstanding Citizen of the Year awards. Mr. Smith has graduated from numerous courses of study including Electrical Analysis of Fires, Forensic Interview Techniques, and various other courses relating to the investigation and analysis of fires including his recognition as a Certified Fire Investigator through the I.A.A.I.. Mr. Smith founded his company after spending 7 years as the Senior Fire Analyst for a large forensic engineering firm. Bryan Cash, C.F.I., C.V.F.I.Senior Fire AnalystMr. Cash began his career working his way through the ranks of a Metro-Atlanta Fire Department achieving the rank of Assistant Fire Chief. Prior to joining our staff he was a public sector Fire Investigator conducting fire scene analysis to determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions. Mr. Cash is a Certified Fire Investigator with over 100 additional certifications all relating to the study of Fire Science. Mr. Cash has a degree in Fire Science and has dedicated his career to the analysis of fire scenes to determine the origin and cause of fires. David M. Stapleton C.F.I.Senior Fire AnalystMr. Stapleton has worked with David H. Smith & Associates, Inc. since 2010. He has extensive experience in structure fire analysis as well as vehicle fire analysis and has conducted over 1800 fire scene investigations. He is a former metro Atlanta Criminal Fire Investigator, Firefighter and Paramedic. Mr. Stapleton has a degree in Fire Science and achieved the rank of Lieutenant during his public safety career. He is also a certified Hazardous Materials Technician. Currently he is completing his degree in Fire Protection Engineering. Mr. Stapleton is available for assignments throughout North America. J.R. (John) Tucker, C.F.I.Fire AnalystMr. Tucker gained his experience through his work as a firefighter, paramedic and Fire Investigator in Metro Atlanta. During his public safety career he achieved the rank of Captain and Deputy Fire Marshal. He began working with David H. Smith & Associates in 2013 and has conducted over 1000 fire investigations. He is a Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI) and has completed a wide variety of coursework relating specifically to fire investigations. In addition, Mr. Tucker is a Hazardous Materials Technician certified to operate in hazardous materials environments.
